AAFD Heads to Indy
The Goodguys 22nd Hot Rod Nationals is here again and several AAFD Dragsters are ready to make the trek to O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis this year. This is the first stop for the Goodguys three race series. With cars coming from all over the country, this weekends race will be the place to be. Defending co-champions Howard Haight and Denver Schutz will be in attendance. Californian Brendan Murry in the "Running Wild" dragster, Roger Lechtenberg in the "Orange Crate" and 2008 NHRA Heritage Champion Troy Green returns to the seat of a top fuel dragster driving Frank Ousley's brand new Neil and Parks car. Others include Iowa’s Kevin Brewer, Randy Bridges, Butch Blair’s “Fugowie”, Ernest McClain’s Chevy powered entry from New England, local Keith “Roo Man” Burgan, “Diamond” Dave Miller and Joe Krupinski.
Don't miss one of the country's largest vintage hot rodding events. Nostalgia Top Fuel and Funny Car will both be run as 8-car open shows with qualifying sessions scheduled for Friday, June 11th at 3pm and Saturday, June 12th at 12 pm. First round for both pro classes is scheduled for 3:30pm Saturday afternoon with final eliminations commencing Sunday morning at 10am.
Next stop for the All American Fuel Dragsters will be the NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion, June 18-20th at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
